Boys’ Basketball Ends Season With Visit to District Tourney
The boys’ hoops team ended their regular season with a record of 5-11 and finished off the regular season with a sweet victory over Castleford, 61-31. Heading into the District Tournament on February 17 as the #8 seed, the Cutthroats put up a mighty fight against the #1 seeded Lighthouse Christian in the first round but lost 30-86. Their next match against the #5 seeded Murtaugh Red Devils also ended in a tough loss, though the Cutthroats cut it close with a score of 33-46. Said Head Coach Connor Wade ‘05, “It has been an excellent year of team-building, learning, and gritty effort on the basketball court. Despite several injuries to key players, we continued to improve each game and find our identity as a team. The Cutthroats will be working hard in the off-season to get ready to make some major waves in the Sawtooth Conference next season."
