Upper School Students Visit Washington D.C. for Model United Nations Conference

For the third year, Community School’s Model UN Club traveled to Washington, D.C. for the North American Invitational Model United Nations. From February 12-20, 15 Cutthroats joined approximately 3,000 other high school students for a week of real-life learning accompanied by Upper School history teacher George Heinrichs and Upper School English teacher Hannah Loeb. According to George, in addition to participating in conference events, the group made the most of the nation's capital, "we visited the National Portrait Gallery, the United States Memorial Holocaust Museum, the Smithsonian Freer Gallery of Art, the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, the National Zoo—and ate lots of delicious food," he said.
