Community School is a unique institution in that we have opportunities for everyone to contribute to making the school better. Volunteerism and leadership from parents and students is critical to the fulfillment of our mission. An exemplar of this concept is the LaFleur family, pictured here. Alex, a current senior, is leading our student senate and co-chairing a strategic plan sub committee. Noelle, a ninth grader, is leading the class t-shirt design process and social media efforts in the Upper School as a member of the Business Club. Julie has been a positive force for years on the Parents' Association, and Peter is co-chairing the overall strategic planning effort for the school with current parents and Board Directors Tory O'Connor and Louise Stumph. Along with all of the other students and families who so generously give of their time and talent, the LaFleur family's commitment and "all in" approach to supporting and advancing Community School reflects one of the key ingredients that truly makes our school community special.
