ES Read-a-Thon: February 8-21

ES Read-a-Thon Kicks Off February 8-21
All Proceeds to Benefit ARCH

The ES Read-a-Thon kicks off on Monday, February 8! For the following 2 weeks, until February 21, elementary schoolers will be keeping track of the minutes they read and requesting pledges to benefit ARCH, Blaine County's affordable housing trust. All the money the kids raise, less operating costs, will go straight to this critical work of creating affordable housing opportunities in our valley. In this extraordinary year, the Read-a-Thon will look a little different, with in-person guest readers and field trips to the Community Library being replaced by reader videos in the classrooms and virtual Community Library visits. We are excited to be able to have special guest readers who may not otherwise have been able to join the classes in person. If you have a special, talented reader in mind, please contact one of us at your earliest convenience. We also still plan to be able to have the celebratory Breakfast for Lunch feast to culminate the Read-a-Thon, though the preparation and service will look different! Information about the Read-a-Thon, the minutes logs, and pledge solicitation will be going home to parents this week. So be sure to champion your favorite ES kids in their reading to support a very worthy local cause!

Happy Reading,
