Head of School Photo of the Week: November 1, 2019

This week, we wrapped up our school-wide 30 Days of Kindness campaign. Throughout the month of October, students and teachers from the ECC to 12th grade performed acts of kindness around campus and town. Individual classes or advisor groups generated ideas and organized mass efforts to enact those acts of kindness. The 4th grade wrote kind and encouraging notes to people and hand delivered them around campus; a few advisor groups served hot cocoa in the morning, and given that we had some unseasonably cold October mornings, this was especially kind! Other classes asked us to reach out to people we may not know very well in other divisions and make new acquaintances. Overall, the month established a web of support and connection among community members and strengthened our "one school" feeling. This year's 30 Days of Kindness was the second year we dedicated an entire month to being mindfully and purposely inclusive. The effort by students, families, faculty, and staff has helped create authentic, welcoming connections campus wide, which has helped us strengthen our school community and start the year on a wonderful note. Thank you!
