Clubs & Organizations

Jump into Opportunity

At Sun Valley Community School, students across divisions have the opportunity to explore a wide range of interests through clubs and student organizations. Whether you’re an Upper School student with a passion for Model U.N. or journalism, a Middle School student who wants to learn to play ice hockey, or an Elementary School student who wants to explore robotics in our Swift Family Makers’ Lab, you’ll have the chance to discover, participate, and lead.

Green Team

Across Sun Valley Community School’s three divisions, students have the opportunity to participate in Green Team. This school-wide club supports our Environmental Vision Statement and strives to create a culture of sustainability at our school and in the broader community.

Transformative Green Team initiatives have included: restoration of the riparian zone on our Trail Creek Campus; installation of solar panels on the Student Activity Center; and, the development of resource documents to help the school community reach environmental goals, including tips for producing school events in the most sustainable way possible and advising on the purchase food and supplies that meet sustainability standards.

Sun Valley Community School Environmental Vision Statement

As a school we are dedicated to acting in sustainable ways and cultivating environmentally educated citizens who take initiative to lead by example in their community. We will strive to extend our Outdoor Program’s Leave No Trace ethic to our entire campus. With this as our guide, we will work to make the Sun Valley Community School a model for sustainability.
