Head Girls Soccer Coach Kelly Feldman returned for her 25th season coaching the Cutthroat girls. Thirty-two players turned out this season, including seven seniors and seven freshmen. As of October 14, junior Brynley Gage led scoring with 22 goals and 5 assists. Senior Piper Schmitz (14) and junior Rylee Miller (13) are next in line. The girls team advanced to the District final after a victory over Buhl in the semi-final. In the District final against Kimberly, the Cutthroats prevailed, winning 3-2 earning them the District Champ title and sending them as the #1 conference seed at the 4A State Tournament.

Coach Kelly says, “This year’s team is deep and experienced. Even the 9th graders have been playing for years. They bring a confidence and knowledge of the game that has made them huge assets. Freshman Wells Dolson has started every game but one at centerback. We’re coming into Districts a bit of an underdog, having lost to both Buhl and Kimberly the last time we played them. We’re excited to turn things around and qualify for State!” Assisting Kelly are Jordan Fitzgerald ‘14 and Mackenzie Price (both returning coaches), and new coach Aidan Dehan as a 3rd assistant. “It’s a great staff with years of knowledge and experience. We are 15-3-2 so far this season with a big win over Teton in our first game as well as wins over Kimberly and Buhl.”

La Entrenadora Principal de Fútbol Femenino, Kelly Feldman, regresó para su 25ª temporada como entrenadora del equipo femenino Cutthroats. Treinta y dos jugadoras participaron esta temporada, incluyendo siete estudiantes del grado 12 y siete del grado 9. El 14 de octubre, la estudiante de tercer año Brynley Gage lideró el número de goles, seguida por la estudiante del grado 12, Piper Schmitz y luego por la estudiante del grado 11, Rylee Miller. La entrenadora Kelly dice: “El equipo de este año es sólido y experimentado. Incluso las estudiantes de 9º grado llevan años jugando. La estudiante de 9º grado, Wells Dolson, ha sido titular en todos los partidos menos uno como defensa central. Llegamos a los Distritos con un ligero desfavorecimiento, tras haber perdido contra Buhl y Kimberly la última vez que jugamos contra ellas. ¡Estamos emocionadas de revertir la situación y clasificarnos para el Estatal!”. Kelly cuenta con la asistencia de Jordan Fitzgerald (promoción de 2014) y Mackenzie Price (ambas entrenadoras que regresan), y el nuevo entrenador, Aidan Dehan, como tercer asistente. “Es un gran cuerpo técnico con años de conocimiento y experiencia. Llevamos un récord de 15-3-2 en lo que va de temporada, con una gran victoria sobre Teton en nuestro primer partido, además de victorias sobre Kimberly y Buhl”.
