She was 5th 2 days later in the 15KM skiathlon.She grew up on this team in the same hut with the same coaches doing the same workouts. Believe in yourself, believe in the system and do the work. The Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation’s Nordic Ski Program and The Community School have joined forces to offer college preparatory education and competitive Nordic ski training to high school athletes.
Under the leadership of 22-year coach Rick Kapala, the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation’s Nordic ski squad has become one of the top U.S. Junior Nordic programs in the country.Combining the two programs will provide student athletes with world class Nordic training and exceptional college preparatory academics. “We have over 150 kilometers of the world famous Sun Valley cross country ski trail system in our own backyard,” says Head of School Andy Jones-Wilkins, “as well as the expertise of Program Director and Head Coach, Rick Kapala and his superb coaching staff.” The Community School now has the ability to offer student/athletes the opportunity to take advantage of both programs.
