Hi, I have the great pleasure of teaching “the little guys.” When the school was young, I had the even greater pleasure of being part of a child’s life through their Elementary, Middle, and Upper School education. What an opportunity! Today, I spend my days guiding elementary school children with learning differences to read and ponder, to compute and wonder, to create and write. Again, what an opportunity! When a child discovers a gift or strength, never before tapped, it is a wondrous discovery. I am grateful everyday for the students who take me along on their journey.

After having many, many years of varied teaching experience, being a Learning Specialist at The Community School is the most gratifying to me. Working together with students, families and teachers to help develop the potential in each of my students in the Elementary School is a job I love.

Hello, I am a Middle School/ High School Learning Specialist! I have found this job to be more than just a job; it is my passion. Helping children transform into confident successful young adults is one of the rewarding parts of my career. I encourage students and parents to understand that having a learning difference can be difficult at times but it can also be a positive quality to have in their lives.

I became a Learning Specialist to help students with disabilities achieve to the very maximum of their potential. It is incredibly exciting when discouraged students realize they can be successful! I am lucky enough to be a catalyst for this development.
