Founded in 1973, to provide students in the Wood River Valley with a quality independent education, The Community School is a unique experience of core academics, 21st Century Skills and relationships.
From its beginning days at Sam’s School in the basement of St.Thomas,TCS has combined its comprehensive academic program with experiential education and the school’s location within the Intermountain West.
Students matriculate to highly competitive colleges due to the close relationships they form with teachers inside the classroom, on the playing field and in the backcountry with our highly renowned Outdoor Program. The bonds and confidence that students build while at The Community School forms a strong foundation through out their lives, even after college.
