"From Here...Anywhere" Auction
Community School's "From Here...Anywhere" Auction will be held on May 5 at the Limelight Hotel. Though "our flight is full" (please email Krista to be placed on the waitlist), there are still many ways to get involved and support our favorite cause: our students! You can support the auction with the purchase of raffle tickets for "The Ultimate Sun Valley Local Experience" (an $8,750 value!), a program dedication, a faculty sponsorship, or by volunteering your time at the event. 2017-18 Student Senate
New Student Senate Officers
Congratulations to the students who ran for Student Senate. The following students began their new roles after spring break (left-right): Lucy More (secretary/treasurer), Alex LaFleur (president), and Anik Zarkos (vice-president).  These students take over for outgoing Student Senate president Dehner Figge, vice-president Grace Cherp , and secretary/treasurer Keene Morawitz.

Community School's Middle School Masque presents DreamWorks's Madagascar – A Musical Adventure, Jr. on Friday, April 28 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 29 at 5 p.m. in the Community School Theatre. For more information, please see Yvonne in the Middle School office or call 208.622.3960, ext. 138.

SVSA Cross Country Athletes Dominate
Our SVSA cross country athletes dominated the trails this season! At the recent Junior National Championships in Lake Placid, New York, freshman Johnny Hagenbuch earned two golds in the U16 5k classic and the U16 relay team and silver in the U16 5k skate. Senior Peter Wolter earned silver and bronze in the U20 15k classic and U20 relay respectively. Congratulations to all of our cross

Alpine Skiers Earn Regional 
Championships & Podiums
We applaud our Cutthroat alpine skiers on an impressive season. A special shout out to Filippo Collini, Alli Rathfon, Jack Smith, and Bennett Snyder on their recent Western Region championship wins. Freestyle & Snowboard Athletes Rock The Moguls and Halfpipe
Congratulations to all of our freestyle and snowboard athletes on a fantastic season of moguls and halfpipes! This group of talented Cutthroats combined for an impressive total of 35 podiums this winter. In true Cutthroat spirit, scores of faculty and students turned out to cheer on our athletes at the recent 2017 USSA Freestyle & Freeskiing Jr. Nationals held in Sun Valley. See the results here.

Eighth Grade Projects Wow Audiences
Congratulations to our eighth grade students for a job well done on their eighth grade projects! This four-month research unit gave students the chance to explore a personal topic that was both meaningful and impactful. View the projects here.

US Play 2017
US Play A Success
The Upper School play, "The Children's Hour," marked the third time the 1934 Lillian Helman drama was performed on Community School's stage. Congratulations to the cast on a superb production! Check out photos by student Oliver Guy here.

Engl Cup Tradition Continues
Thank you to everyone who made this year's Engl Cup a success! The Engl Cup coin drive collected a whopping $776.76. A check will be presented to Higher Ground. Highlights of the day can be found here

*The Upper School college counseling office hosted a fantastic Career Day on March 16. Students heard from 10 professionals from a variety of industries. Thank you to everyone who participated, including many of our parents and alumni!

*Summer is around the corner. Community School's campus is home to a variety of camps and summer school offerings for grades pre-K to 12. Check out the latest here.
*Calling all student filmmakers! The Wood River Land Trust's Student Conservation Council is accepting submissions for 2-8 minute videos about what the "land means to you" for their upcoming student film festival. Submissions are open to seventh-twelfth grade students. Click here for more details.
