Athletics at Community School are such an important component of our program, and the development of students' character.

Perseverance, resiliency, dedication, sportsmanship, teamwork, and humility, in both success and in struggle, are essential life skills that our student-athletes learn on the trails, tracks, courts, ski slopes, fields, and rinks on which they compete.

The joy of participation, lifelong activity, and competition are also critical life skills developed in our soccer, cross country, volleyball, basketball, golf, tennis, track programs, along with the ski and snowboard programming available to students through our collaboration with Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation and all of the other sports and activities our students participate in throughout the year.

In particular, our varsity volleyball team is a stellar exemplar of all of these wonderful character traits. I am thrilled that they have earned a three-game winning streak for the first time in many years, and I hope you can join us for senior night in the Fishtank on Tuesday, October 10 at 6:00 p.m. as they go for number four. Go Cutthroats!

Thanks to current parent Sarah Spoor for this wonderful photo of the Community School varsity girls' volleyball team!
