The Annual Fund is a yearly campaign that makes up the difference between the cost of tuition and the actual cost of a Community School education.

This year that gap was about $3,500 per student. The Annual Fund supplements tuition, endowment, Parent’s Association contributions, and other sources of funding that keep the school healthy and operating on an annual basis.

Through tax-deductible gifts to the Annual Fund, donors become partners in support of:

  • Dedicated and talented faculty and staff
  • Financial aid that contributes to the diversity of the student body
  • Challenging academics that lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning
  • Broad curriculum offerings from science and performing arts to The Outdoor Program

In 2008-2009, the Annual Fund reached 100% participation from parents, board members, and faculty and staff for the third consecutive year.

This significant statistic is an incredible indicator of support for our school, our teachers, our programs, and our mission. Foundations and other donors weigh this statistic when considering grant awards and it speaks volumes when recruiting the best and brightest educators for our programs.

For this reason, 100% participation is critical

The 2009-2010 Annual Fund Goal is $410,000 and 100% participation from current parents, faculty and staff, and Board Members. We would once again like to maximize participation from Alumni, Grandparents, former parents and friends of the school.
