Teacher - Early Childhood Education


The Community School seeks an early childhood (2-4 yr olds) teacher for the 2010-11 school year. Successful applicants will have at least two years of early childhood experience, familiarity with the Reggio Emilia approach, and be an energetic, flexible, happy and creative team player. They will also possess strong technological skills, as well as a very sound understanding of early childhood education and young students’ developmental and social-emotional needs. Strong student-teacher relationships are a hallmark of our school and the applicant should demonstrate a commitment to warm, caring relationships with students, which extend beyond the classroom.

Middle School Spanish Teacher


The Community School is seeking a dynamic middle school Spanish teacher for the 2010-2011 school year. Additional duties will include teaching an enhancement section, serving as an advisor, participating in the school’s extensive outdoor program, and engaging in additional middle school extracurricular activities. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability and desire to work within a teamed, themed, and integrated program, which also incorporates 21st century fluencies blended with fundamental skills. Above all, the successful candidate must have a love of middle school children and demonstrate a willing and flexible approach to education. This is a full-time position with benefits.
